The Couple·preneur
Hey friend,
With school just around the corner, I’ve been thinking about learning and growth.
In both the world of education and the school of life, we tend to focus on skills, milestones, and achievements.
But what if the most important growth is learning to see the world differently?
This pause, right before the school year begins, feels like the perfect moment to reflect on parenting.
"I give all my friends with children this book, as a reminder of what matters when raising little ones." - Oprah Winfrey
So looking for a little wisdom, I pulled The Parents’ Tao Te Ching by William Martin from our shelf and found this beautiful passage called “Become the Student.”
Children are fascinated by the ordinary and can spend timeless moments watching sunlight play with dust.
Their restlessness they learn from you.
It is you who are thinking of there when you are here. It is you who think of then instead of now. Stop. Let your children become the teachers and you become the student. Your children may frequently change the focus of their attention. But this is not restlessness, it is curiosity. When they are doing something, they are doing only that until they move on to the next thing. Watch them.
This passage reminded me that investing in ourselves isn’t just about courses or programs, it’s about changing the way we move through the world.
Sometimes our best teachers are still working on their multiplication facts and building an “airport” on the dining room table.
Or feeding her banana to the dog and learning how to walk.
The most transformative growth often comes from paying attention to the people, big or small, who show us another way of being.
If we want to grow our businesses, deepen our relationships, or expand what’s possible for our lives, we have to keep putting ourselves in environments that stretch us.
And sometimes, that environment is as close as our own living room.
Here’s to building a life you love...together, Maggie (& Adam)
A Free Invitation: She’s Unstoppable Summit
As I reflect on stepping into new environments that stretch me, like investing in mentorship, I’ve also signed up for another experience that feels deeply aligned.
She’s Unstoppable Summit with Sage Robbins is a free, 3-day virtual retreat happening August 20–22, 2–4 pm ET each day.
Women from around the world will gather to:
Pause & reconnect with their whole selves
Rewrite noisy inner narratives with clarity and grace
Rise from a kinder place
And find strength in soulful connection
I did this last year and found it to be quietly powerful!
A true opportunity to deepen, reflect, ask questions, tune inward, and dream bigger!
If you’re a part of this newsletter community and want to join, I’d love to walk through it together. Maybe we could check in via a short Google Meet call afterward, compare notes, share, listen, and create space to be women in community and creating connection.
Just wrapped up the Virtual Live Yoga Summer Series...
