The Couplepreneur

Online business = Freedom

The Couple·preneur

Hey friend,

Most people assume that starting a business means
more work, more stress, and less freedom.

But the right kind of business actually gives you more freedom, not less.

When we started our entrepreneurial journey, we didn’t know what that business looked like.

What we did know was that we wanted to build something together.

Something meaningful, scalable, and aligned with the life we were dreaming of.

Story Time: How We Got Here

Our first business was Simple Abundance Farm, where we grew organic vegetables.

It gave us the chance to work together, but it didn’t have the leverage or scalability we needed.

We were tied to one place, one income stream, and one exhausting growing season after another.

Next, Adam took a leadership role at a solar company and helped scale it from $2 million to $6 million in revenue.

It was an exciting opportunity with huge growth potential and an incredibly talented team.

But it meant working separately—and that wasn’t the life we wanted.

What We Didn’t Want

We started defining what kind of business wouldn’t work for us:

🚫 A 9-5 schedule with no flexibility
🚫 Working separately, without a shared vision or mission
🚫 No leverage or opportunity to scale
🚫 Limited financial upside

What We Did Want

✔️ Freedom to work when and where we wanted
✔️ A shared mission we could build together
✔️ Leverage—a business model that grows without trading more time for money
✔️ Significant financial upside

We started to realize an online business checked a lot of these boxes

The internet offers infinite possibilities, and there are so many types of online businesses to choose from:

  • Paid communities
  • SEO and marketing agencies
  • Digital products and courses
  • Coaching or consulting
  • Content creation

But the key isn’t just picking a business model—it’s defining what you’re optimizing for.

Build a business that supports the life you want, rather than letting your life revolve around the business.

This lead us to our Intentional Life Scaffolding

  1. Define the life you want
  2. Align your relationship to that vision
  3. Construct a business that supports both

Introducing SAF Digital

For us, that business is SAF Digital. We help B2B founders grow their personal brands on LinkedIn by sharing their stories, insights, and experiences through high-impact content.

But the goal isn’t for you to replicate our business model.

Our goal is to showcase how the business we’re building supports our life and relationship—and how you can do the same.

So, why did we choose this business model?

The Nuts and Bolts:

  • We can work from anywhere
  • Flexible schedule
  • High margins and profitability
  • Global talent pool for collaboration
  • Service-based, which means positive cash flow right away

On a Deeper Level:

  • We’ve experienced first-hand the power of an online presence—how it opens doors and creates opportunities.
  • With online business, opportunities are everywhere.

State of the Business

We’re just getting started, but here’s where we are:

  • Two paying clients (positive cash flow from Day 1)
  • Launching our 60-Day LinkedIn Visibility Accelerator
  • Onboarding our first team member

What we have learned so far...

Starting an online business has already been an incredible experience, but it’s reinforced one key lesson:

Define the life you want first. Then build a business that supports it.

Here's to building the life you want,
