Hey friend,
For us this year is all about experimenting.
As we balance growing our business and raising our little one, we're back with our second "Walk & Talk" podcast - this time recorded at Kannapolis Lake in central Kansas, complete with water views, rock skipping, and our dog Moji (who was busy finding dead fish to eat!).
We're continuing to share these unfiltered conversations to give you a peek into how we stay connected and aligned across both business and personal life.
What you'll hear in this episode:
- The exciting business momentum we're building
- How we're navigating new team dynamics
- A mindset shift that's making a big difference
Our Walk & Talk Highlights
Maggie's Wins, Challenges, & Opportunities this week:
Business Win: Having multiple client calls this week, despite being sick, and hearing great feedback about the value we're providing. It was energizing to hear people say "This is exactly what I need!"
Life Win: Reading "The Let Them Theory" by Mel Robbins, which focuses on recognizing what's in your control versus what isn't. The key insight: "Let them" handle their situation, and "let me" focus on how I respond.
Business Challenge: Keeping our heads as things start gaining momentum and our flywheel begins working. Managing the excitement without getting overwhelmed.
Life Challenge: Being sick this week, especially while caring for a sick baby. Despite feeling unwell, she stayed focused on making sure the baby was okay.
Business Opportunity: Looking forward to running our first client through our newly created "Personal Brand Accelerator" service offering.
Life Opportunity: Participating in an alumni book club to discuss "The Let Them Theory" with other women from her leadership cohort.
Adam's Wins, Challenges, & Opportunities this week:
Business Win: Receiving validation through client calls that our LinkedIn expertise is valuable, with one potential client even wanting to hire us as consultants rather than for our productized service.
Life Win: Being married to Maggie, who crushed it in business and life despite being sick with a sick baby. She still managed to be a fantastic mother and wife through it all.
Business Challenge: Learning to trust our new team member (shout out to Erin, our Director of Content!) and communicate effectively about our vision, especially as a new company where things change frequently.
Life Challenge: Not getting as much exercise as needed, which is a critical "domino" that affects energy levels, eating habits, and sleep quality.
Business Opportunity: Excited about upcoming podcast interviews with LinkedIn experts and entrepreneurs. Recently recorded with Filip łysikowski (LinkedIn sales all-star) and has upcoming interviews with Ido Lechner the founder of Magic Media and Katy Roberts (an "accidental LinkedIn influencer").
Life Opportunity: Maintaining better exercise habits in the coming week to keep energy levels high.
Final Thought...
As we journey through building our business while raising a family, we're finding that sometimes the most productive business conversations happen while walking around a lake with a sleeping baby.
Finding these moments to connect - whether it's a structured check-in or a casual walk - is what keeps us moving forward together.
Here's to building the life you want...together,
Maggie & Adam
